When does Taalthuis collect (personal) data?
This privacy statement applies to the processing of the personal information and data obtained when customers and other contact persons send us requests, follow our courses, sign up for our newsletter and when they visit our website.
We also collect data when information is requested, a question is asked or you come into contact with us in a different way.
Taalthuis processes data for the following purposes:
- For our courses and its invoices;
- Handling your request and informing you of its status;
- Storage for the execution of the agreement;
- Taking measures to improve our services and providing information and / or offers.
Which (personal) data is processed by Taalthuis?
Taalthuis collects contact data such as:
name, address, telephone number and bank details;
if applicable:
details of your company and its bank details, or details of your host family;
data relating to earlier courses and use of any follow-up courses.
We also store contact history, for example when you ask a question about a course, teaching materials or other support questions. Sometimes we will use photos of people. We only do so with the permission of the people who are on the picture.
Why do we process (personal) data
Taalthuis processes personal data in order to deliver the courses. We can also store data for the creation of an account, the financial administrative processing and of course the requests for courses. Taalthuis also needs this information when answering questions, handling complaints and processing any chargebacks. After signing up for a course, an order and invoice number is linked to your account.
Taalthuis uses cookies on its websites. We do this to analyze our websites and to function optimally, in order to improve our services. Read more about this in our cookie policy.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) everyone has a number of rights. You can send a request to Taalthuis to inspect the personal data we process about you. It also indicates how and why we process this data. Processed Taalthuis incorrect or incomplete data, we adjust this to your request. You can also request a removal. It may be that Taalthuis is still obliged to process the data for other purposes (financial administration, fiscal retention). If you suspect that we are processing your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can also have this processing limited. You can also object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or other purposes. The right to data portability is new under the AVG. You can ask Taalthuis to remove your personal details. Finally, you can withdraw a given permission for receiving the newsletter or another processing.

Security
Taalthuis has taken appropriate technical measures and monitors and protects all its services (in) visible against abuse and fraud. Taalthuis also engages third parties in the execution of its courses and other services. Insofar as these third parties process personal data when performing the relevant courses and / or services, they do so in the capacity of processor. The processor concerned will of course only receive the necessary data and will be contractually obliged to maintain an appropriate level of security and to handle personal data with due care. In addition, personal data is not kept longer than necessary.
